Proof of Consent (Opt-In) for Receiving Text Messages
The following steps outline how our platform collects and verifies user consent to receive text messages:
-
Checkbox on Profile Page:
Users are presented with a clearly labeled checkbox on the Profile page with the following statement:
"I consent to receive text messages from ConnectForNeeds.com for updates, notifications, and important information related to my account or services."
This checkbox is not pre-selected, ensuring users actively opt in. -
Explicit User Action Required:
Users must manually check the box to provide consent. No text messages are sent unless this action is completed. -
Date and Time Stamp:
Upon selecting the checkbox, the system records the user’s consent, including the date, time, and user ID, in the database for audit and compliance purposes. -
Editable Consent:
Users have full control to update their consent preferences at any time by revisiting the Profile page and unchecking the checkbox. Changes are immediately reflected in the system. -
Clear Terms of Consent:
The consent statement clearly communicates the purpose and nature of the text messages, ensuring transparency with the user. -
Data Storage:
All consent-related data is securely stored in our system and is accessible for verification or audit requests.

Proof of Consent (Opt-Out) for Receiving Text Messages
The following process outlines how users can withdraw consent to stop receiving text messages:
-
User-Controlled Opt-Out:
Users can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by unchecking the checkbox on the Profile page labeled:
"I consent to receive text messages from ConnectForNeeds.com."
This action is straightforward and does not require any additional steps. -
Immediate Action:
Once the checkbox is unchecked, the system instantly updates the user’s preferences in the database, ensuring no further text messages are sent to that user. -
Confirmation of Opt-Out:
The system automatically logs the opt-out event with the date, time, and user ID to maintain compliance and provide proof of consent withdrawal. -
Alternate Opt-Out Methods:
Users can also opt out by replying “STOP” to any text message received. This triggers an automated system response confirming the opt-out and records the event. -
Data Storage:
All opt-out events are securely recorded in the database and retained for verification or audit requests.
